Company

An exceptional dining experience starts from the moment you walk in a restaurant’s door. Before the first bite, it’s the atmosphere that separates another night out from an unforgettable one. Anyone living and eating in Philadelphia knows the Del Frisco’s name; not just for their incredible food, but for their elegant and modern twist on the classic American steakhouse, providing unparalleled experience as soon as you walk in.

Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse has been a Center City favorite since it first arrived in 2007, offering diners a modern mix of hand cut steaks and fresh seafood with shareable appetizers and an extensive drink menu. The opening of the chain’s 25th Grille in the stylish Cambria Suites hotel in the heart of downtown at Broad and Locust Street set to achieve a more casual complement to their upscale Double Eagle Steakhouse, while maintaining the rich tradition and sleek ambience they’re known for.

Challenge

The new Del Frisco’s Grille covers 7,260 square feet with the capacity to seat more than 256 guests and offer private dining for up to 36 people. With plenty of space for artwork and decor that embraced the chain’s unique style, the restaurant designer communicated their visions on where to hang various pieces with the Hughes Custom Logistics project manager. In addition to delivering, measuring, centering and leveling the product, it was Hughes Custom Logistics’s job to first identify if the designer’s plans were possible for the specific space, and if they weren’t, then work together to find a creative solution that helped achieve their design goals.

The designers needed a qualified, patient and reliable partner specializing in expert moving and logistics to determine the best possible layout solutions and adapt to any needs or changes required to achieve the restaurant’s ideal look and feel in their timeline.

Solution

Hughes Custom Logistics worked closely in collaboration with the design team, providing expert insight on how to best showcase the unique artwork and accommodate any last-minute changes to the design plans.

Throughout the project, Hughes Custom Logistics conducted multiple quick delivery trips to supply all the chairs, tables and artwork, often with little notice and unexpected changes. For some cases, Hughes Custom Logistics performed same-day deliveries and services upon request to make the process quick and seamless for both the designers and the restaurant’s management team. No matter how urgent the task, the work was completed; no questions asked.

Since the successful opening of Del Frisco’s Grille on December 10th, 2018, the restaurant made a great first impression with a 4.5-star rating on Yelp with several mentions of the “excellent ambience” in just a few short weeks of operation.
